About Us
People Training For Pooches. ™
Our Story
We train people, not just dogs.
At DogBGood, we believe every great dog starts with a great leader. That’s why our focus isn’t just on your dog - it’s on you.
We started DogBGood with one mission: to change the way people understand dog training. Too many owners are told that treats and endless rewards are the answer, but that often leaves dogs confused, pushy, or anxious. We know dogs crave clarity, structure, and fair feedback.
So instead of chasing quick fixes, we teach people how to communicate with their dogs in a way that’s natural, effective, and lasting. Our training blends leadership, consistency, and love - giving your dog the confidence to thrive.

Our Philosophy
-
Clarity builds trust. Your dog deserves to know exactly when they’ve done something right (“yes”) and when they need to stop (“no”).
-
Boundaries create freedom. Structure gives your dog more opportunities to succeed in everyday life.
-
Commitment is everything. We’re not here to wave a magic wand. Real change requires your time, effort, and willingness to grow alongside your dog.
When you train with us, you’re not just getting obedience lessons. You’re learning how to build a strong relationship based on mutual respect and understanding.

Justin
Certified Dog Trainer and IACP Affiliate
Justin is a certified dog trainer and IACP affiliate with over 15 years of professional experience. He obtained his certification at Canyon Crest K9 Training in Tacoma, WA, where he worked with all breeds and temperaments, including high aggression. Justin's journey into dog training began when he was a new dog owner and enrolled his then young pup, Porter, into a group class to help him manage Porter's very high energy. When given no instruction or advice, he was told to release Porter into the group for play. Unsurprisingly, the results were less than stellar and the "trainer" told Justin to get control of his dog. "Isn't that what you're supposed to teach me?" he asked. The reply was that Porter couldn't be helped. Unsatisfied and disbelieving, Justin sought out to learn dog training and the rest is history! Sadly, this story is not uncommon. Many of our clients have also "failed" group classes, been told their dogs "can't be helped" or are "too much." We have been the last resort to more than a few owners and we have cherished the opportunity to change their lives.

Sara
Certified Dog Trainer and IACP Affiliate
Sara started her training journey when she met Justin in 2016 and fell in love with his dogs, Porter & Gaia. What she didn't realize was all the time & work he had put in with them to get them to their amazing selves. So, when she adopted Torben at the age of 5 months after he'd been in as many homes, it was an eye-opening experience to say the least! With time and consistency, Torben is the best boy, and Sara considers herself a better, stronger and more confident person. Along with assisting in the dog training and people coaching, Sara brings decades of administrative experience to DogBGood and loves helping people with their pooches.
